TELEPHONE MENTALISM
(In the book it’s actually entitled: “The Mentalist”)
You’re at a party and start talking about a friend you claim is the greatest mind reader in America today and state that you wish he was here at the party.
Then you say you have an idea!
Suppose someone at the party picks a card at random.
Then you can call your mentalist friend on a cell phone at his unlisted phone number and see if he can name the card selected!
You get the Mentalist on the phone and hand the spectator the phone and the Mentalist names the selected card!...Correctly!
This trick works no matter what card is selected!
It’s a Miracle Trick!
This next little quickee trick I always include in all performances…It ALWAYS leaves the spectators speechless and perplexed!
‘TIS AMAZING
Spectator thoroughly shuffles the cards.
Cards are placed on your hand or the table and you ask him to cut the cards, so you now have 2 piles.
You then say: ”By looking at the top card of this pile, I can tell you the card on top of the other pile.”
You are successful!
Then have the cards cut again and you name the top cards of both piles of cards before they are turned over!
Mindblower!
